الملخص

The current study aims to identify the reality of the low cost strategy in Wal-Mart stores and the results achieved from its adoption and transfer this experience to the benefit of Iraqi organizations, and the problem of the study revolves around the increase in competition between organizations and the inability of Iraqi organizations to compete due to the lack of a clear and comprehensive strategy to confront them. Therefore, the study came to identify the strategy of the best competing organizations in the world, which is Wal-Mart chain stores (according to Fortune magazine) and what are the results achieved from adopting them, The study adopted the case study method and used the deductive and inductive approach in reaching conclusions, and the study came out with a number of conclusions, the most important of which are the effectiveness of Wal-Mart's low-cost strategy and its success at the present time. The study presented a set of proposals in light of these conclusions, the most important of which is encouraging Iraqi organizations to adopt this strategy to face the raging competition between organizations today.
