الملخص
The research aims to show the effect of public expenditures on unemployment rates in Iraq during the period (2004-2018). The research has assumed that unemployment rates are affected by changes in public expenditures, as public expenditures are an independent variable that affects unemployment rates, which are a variable dependent on public expenditures, The results of the research showed that there is a significant bilateral causal relationship that tends from public expenditures to unemployment and from unemployment to public expenditures , Consequently, it is necessary to find solutions and treatments for the problem of unemployment in Iraq. One of these solutions is the application of the Islamic economic viewpoint to tackle unemployment, especially since Iraq has a great Islamic heritage that distinguishes it from other countries. The possibility of applying public spending mechanisms in the Islamic economy to address unemployment is possible if it is applied correctly To reduce the phenomenon of unemployment in the Iraqi economy
