الملخص

This study explores the impact of power consumption on economic progress in Jordan from 2005 to 2019. The study hypothesis were tested by the use of simple linear regression model and it found out that power consuption has a general positive impact on economic progress in Jordan. It proved that there is correlation coefficient between the independent variable (power consumption X) and the economic progress dependent variable (GDP Y) by which an increase of one unit in1% (X) will lead to an increase in (Y) of 2.43 % which is measured by Million Jordanian Dinars, The study as well suggested important recommendations for enhancing and improving economical progress encouraging investment in the power sector and through utilizing the advanced techniques that ensure the optimal use of power.
