The research focuses on the trends of financial policy in Iraq in the light of the state of the Iraqi economy and the stage it goes through after 2014, and the government’s austerity policy in the face of deficits.The research reached the conclusion that the size of the deficit of 26702861 (twenty six trillion seven hundred and eight million eighty one sixty thousand dinars) and the wrong operation in its financing, especially through external borrowing, could fade and end and even be a surplus if it was used and calculated the real numbers in it to reach 752867708 ( Seven trillion, five hundred and twenty eight billion, six hundred and seventy seven million and eight thousand dinars
